Be a Part
of Your Child's First
School Experience
A Co-op Means Sharing
Sharing your time. Sharing your energy. Sharing the joy of childhood with
your child and his friends
As a member of your Co-op, you'll be involved in the planning of school
activities and in the formulation of school policy. You'll know all your
child's classmates and their parents. You'll be there to share school with
your child.
Some of the unique advantages of our Co-op are that we're an open-structure
school with an adult/child ratio of one to five, and that you and your child
can both grow through our school. You'll get to know other families like
yourselves - active, involved and caring.
We Have A
Lot To Offer
We have two programs, a Tuesday-Thursday program for 3 and 4-year-olds, and a
Monday-Wednesday-Friday program for 4 and 5-year-olds.
Each day, we offer a variety of different fun activities: creative art,
music, storytelling, dramatic play, cognitive games and outdoor play. Each
activity is presented and supervised by an adult. Cooking, science
activities, field trips and special visitors are scheduled periodically.
Children are free to choose their own activities.
Non-Profit
Means We Cost Less
As a non-profit organization, the Co-op is able to keep tuition to a minimum
through parent participation in the classroom and fundraising events. The monthly
tuition fee may vary from year to year due to changes in enrollment and
anticipated expenses.
Here's How
We Work
As a Cooperative, each family is involved equally. Our Director is a
professional teacher who develops our curriculum with parent input.
· A parent works at school one morning each week.
· Parents attend an evening meeting monthly.
· Parents serve on special committees.
· Parents provide nutritious snacks to their child's class two weeks per
year.
· Parents assist with fund-raising events.
The Board of Directors of the Co-op is elected each year from the membership.
